Moving is never easy or fun. It involves a lot of work, usually more than you plan for. Phoenix would like to make the move-in process easier for you and your family. Through many years of observing tenants moving in and moving out, we have come up with a list of items that we think will aid you in making your move-in a little easier.

1. Have all utilities set up before the day of the move. This means contacting the local utilities (click here to view them all and their contact numbers) and instruct them to transfer over your name. Some utilities like in Holly Springs require that you be present when you set them up. So, handling this in advance is crucial


2. Check-in is done at the Phoenix office. Our address is Phoenix Realty 5108 Hwy 55, Durham NC 27713. Our office hours 9:30AM- 5:30PM Monday-Friday. 9:30AM - 2:00PM Sat. We are closed on Sunday. No exceptions.


3. At Check-in, you will be required to: 1) Have driver's License(s) or other government issued photo id of individual(s) listed on the lease; 2) Pay any unpaid security deposit, pet fee, or first month's rent (in cash or cashier check) 3) Signoff the Check-in Sheet saying how many keys you received and that you understand property must be left as you found it at move-out and finally 4) Do a quick move-in inspection with one of our agents to document the property at time of move-in.


4. After your Move-in Inspection with one of our agents, you have 10 days to report any items that may have been missed during the move-in inspection. Any requests to change/ alter the property, or requests to have items fixed, must be submitted in writing via our online Maintenance Request Form.
